Park & Ride Lots

Former lots

The old Fort-King park and ride lot sign, so faded even the old SEMTA name is now visible again. Shortly after this was taken, it was removed. There was a park and ride lot at the Fort-King Plaza until the late 2000's, when the shelter was demolished, yet a park and ride sign remained but very faded until it was finally removed in 2015.

Prior to the closure of the Southgate Super Kmart, a park and ride lot was offered there.

History

Service began on October 30, 1978, originally continuing out to Flat Rock until they and Gibraltar chose to distance themselves from SMART in 1995 and the route was cut back to Fort Street and Van Horn Road where it ended until 2007.
