Overview

Everybody's Day is a festival that contains booths for arts and crafts as well as food vendors, musical performances, and carnival rides. This award-winning festival, starting in 1908, has been held in Thomasville, N.C. for over 100 years and is the oldest street festival in North Carolina.

Location

The festival is held along the streets of Downtown Thomasville, specifically on East and West Main streets. Sites that will be seen upon arrival are restored train cars, a clock tower and fountain, and Thomasville's pride, The Big Chair.

Accommodations 

As the name implies, Everybody's Day is intended to be available for everybody, as it is held on the streets, much of the space is easily accessible to handicapped visitors. Special services that are available include a handicapped only parking lot located behind the City Hall (10 Salem St, Thomasville, NC 27360), as well as handicapped-accessible restrooms and portable toilets.

First Aid services such as the Thomasville Medical Center and the Thomasville Rescue Squad are also set up near the festival for safety.

Date

The festival is held every year and usually will fall on the last Saturday of September. The application deadline starts in early June and ends in September.

Application

The fee to apply for a booth changes depending on the time period: 

• Early Application (Early-Mid June): $125
• Regular Application (Mid June-Early September): $150
• Late Application (Early September-Festival): $175

Each booth space is approximately 20' wide x 10' deep and falls along the curb. These spaces are for single vendors and sharing is prohibited. Any materials required to set up - including tables, chairs, and tents - are furnished by the vendors.
