The Childcare Network of Evanston provides Early Head Start to families in the Skokie area. High quality, full day, year-round child care and early education in licensed centers and family child care homes is available for children ages birth to three-years-old. For those families not needing child care, an in-home program creates a classroom where parents are teachers of their young children and will receive guidance and teaching strategies from a qualified home visitor. CNE Early Head start also offers free diapers and formula, family support services, group socialization opportunities, nutritious meals, transportation, and services for expectant families. Families who wish to apply for enrollment should meet federal Head Start income requirements and/or selection criteria. Families who have children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
