That would be a winning bet, Yoni! My daily caoilrc deficit is around 700-800. 150 of that comes from my 30-minute aerobic Wii workout. Clearly my weight loss is mainly dietary. There's nothing magical about Wii calories--they burn the same amount of energy as walking calories, or swimming calories, or whatever. A calorie is a calorie. Wii will never be a magic bullet, somehow able take off more weight than other equivalent forms of exercise. However, the great thing about the Wii is that it has gotten me off the couch for the first time in ten years, and it has enabled me to exercise indoors through the most brutal winter in West Virginia history. I would not be burning these 150 calories per day without it. I think there has been too much hype about the potential mystical power of the Wii Fit in weight control. However, I also don't like to see it dismissed out of hand. The research is still very new in this area. It isn't helped along by studies that appear to have structural flaws, which the media love to seize upon in their unending drive to the bottom.
