One game that is quickly growing in popularity is Ultimate frisbee. This is a game where 14 people (7 on each team) try to move the frisbee down the field and score. Although it may be new in some places, Ultimate has managed a stronghold in Reno for several years. A large community of Ultimate players has formed but the group is always looking for more players.

Upcoming Tournaments

Lay-Out Sky Dive is held by Boomtown's own Morgan Paulson at North Lake Tahoe High School on June 15. Tickets cost $30.

Disc Golf

Disc golf is for people who are looking for something a little different than Ultimate. Much like regular golf, disc golf is played on courses of 9 or 18 holes. A player starts at the tee and throws their disc as close close to the basket as possible. They then progress from where the disc landed until they score. The goal is to score in as few throws as possible. Reno, as well as Truckee and Lake Tahoe offer several different courses.
