Sometimes we're on the go and we gotta order take out. Ever get totally bummed out when you end up with a bunch of plastic and/or styrofoam waste?
Remember that eating out is best, compostable take-out is second best, recyclable is a little better than just plain old trash (but only if you wash it), and trash is worst. P.S. Don't be an aspirational recycler - when in doubt, leave it out.
As good as eating out is if they let you bring your own tupperware! Data on that so far is limited, but included below.
Here is the beginning of a list of restaurants in Oakland, and the type of to-go and/or leftover containers that they provide. Please add to it!
