The Oakland Aviation Museum is a museum full of Oakland and aviation history. The goal of the non-profit organization is to educate the public on the history of the Oakland International Airport, and the museum was founded in 1981. There are numerous historical aircraft on display, as well as exhibits on a various aspects of aviation history, including:

The museum is also currently the home of a statue of Chinese aviation pioneer, Feng Ru. One of the more famous aircraft on display is the City of Cardiff, a Short Solent Mark III flying boat. It stood in for a larger Clipper flying boat in the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The Oakland Aviation Museum is in need of volunteer docents who are friendly and outgoing, with a love of airplanes and their history.
