Murals of Life N Hope was founded in 2007 by Soul in West Oakland.Murals of Life N Hope was the 1st Mural project on 7th St. from Esthers Orbit Room to Peralta College in 2007...Many of the Murals are on 7th.St between Peralta St and Campbell St...Our first Mural was Fence Mural next to Revolution Cafe and 2nd one is done on large wall of building in the Field of Dreams.The large wall Mural is a Collective effort of many Muralist and Tagging Crews,surrounding edges around large white box in middle of the wall.Peace Lilies also surround whole Mural and box is movie screen.Centered on top of wall Mural is written in English and Arabic the words "Know Justice,Know Peace" .There are more Murals in Field,in Beer Garden of Revolution Cafe and Fences on corner of 7th St. and Peralta St. and on large wall of "Bikes 4 Life" bike store is Mural of Marshall Major Taylor-1st African American bicycling Champion in late 1800's on Peralta/7th St.
