Emilie (or Emily) M. Chabot was the wife and (then widow) of Rémi Chabot, brother of Anthony Chabot. She was born in France in 1849, and emigrated to San Francisco with her parents in either 1851 or circa 1853. Remi and Emilie were married in 1870. She was a well-known philanthropist and feminist. She died in 1916, and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery.
