Sausal Creek before it goes underground

Dimond Park is located at 3860 Hanly Road. Dimond Park is home to the Dimond Rec Center and is a block from the Dimond Branch Library (depending which entrance you use). The park is also home to the Lions Pool. The City of Oakland purchased the majority of what is now Dimond Park in 1917. 1

At the top of the park, you can cross El Centro Ave and keep hiking on a nice trail through Dimond Canyon.

Friends of Sausal Creek are very involved with this park, as is the (opposing) group, Friends of Dimond Park Trees

Because of the changes in the dogs-in-parks law in April, 2014, dogs are now allowed on-leash in this park.

In early 2015, part of the park was fenced off for the Sausal Creek Restoration Project.
