The historic Bellevue-Staten Building (since the mid-1980s, also informally called the 'Ghostbuster' Building) is a classic Art Deco and Spanish Colonial blend apartment building in the Adams Point neighborhood designed by renowned architect Herman Carl Baumann. Built in 1929, its original sales brochure declared the Bellevue-Staten “the last word in ultra-modern Home-Apartment Construction.” 1

In 1991 the National Register of Historical Places added the Bellevue-Staten Building and in 1999 the Art Deco Society of California awarded the building the Historic Preservation Award. 2
