  • Erin Brockovich

Time: 2:30 PM     Location: UCA

Say the name Erin Brockovich and you think, strong, tough, stubborn, and sexy. Brockovich is all that and definitely more. When Julia Roberts starred in the Oscar-winning tour de force Erin Brockovich, the film turned an unknown legal researcher into a 20th century icon by showcasing how her dogged persistence was the impelling force behind the largest medical settlement lawsuit in history. Since then, Brockovich hasn’t been resting on her laurels…she continues to fight hard and win big! Erin Brockovich is a true American hero who’s icon status and “stick-to-it-iveness” only fuels her determination to expose injustice and lend her voice to those who do not have one.

  • World History, the Real Live Tigers, (tentatively) Sea Nanners, Phillip Huddleston

Time: 8:00 PM     Location: La Lucha Space

Come out and hear live music. A Sunday night show is a rare occasion at La Lucha Space, but October 2nd we will be welcoming return visitors World History (http://worldhistory.bandcamp.com) of Seattle, WA and the Real Live Tigers (www.reallivetigers.com), recently based in Fayetteville.  I always like to mention (thank) Neil of this band World History as he participated in the creation of a site that has had a tremendous impact in the house show movement and for independent touring acts: dodiy.org.

Support will be provided by the local (current LR) the Sea Nanners (http://sea-nanners.bandcamp.com/) - if you haven't checked out their recent EP I would recommend you follow that link.  We're excited to have them back, and hope they will be joined by Phillip Huddleston, but we'll all just have to turn up on October 2nd to find out.  8pm, walk or bike if you can very limited parking. (as always, be courteous to our neighbors!)
