The Joint Interim Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development is a committee of the West Virginia Legislature comprised of members of the House Committee on Agriculture and the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. The Committee meets during the Interim Session, which holds monthly meetings from approximately May through January of each year.

The Committee is tasked with creating and adjusting West Virginia laws regarding agriculture and rural development related to farming and local food industries.

History 

The West Virginia Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of West Virginia. A bicameral legislative body, the Legislature is split between the upper Senate and the lower House of Delegates. It was established under Article VI of the West Virginia Constitution in 1863.
