Project RISE Student Support Services TRiO program is an educational support program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Their goal is to help you stay in school, graduate from Heartland and transfer to the four-year college of your choice. They offer a variety of services to assist you in becoming familiar with the college environment, to persist in your efforts and take pride in your accomplishments.

Who Can Join?

Students enrolled at Heartland who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and meet at least one of the following qualifications are eligible:

  • First generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor's degree)
  • Meet the income guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Have a verifiable disability
