Your best bet for up to date information is to go to LSU Campus Life and click 'Student Organizations' on the left-hand side menu bar. From there you can search for student organizations by type or alphabetically.

Current 'progressive' student organizations:

  • Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO)
  • Hill Farm Community Garden
  • Students for a Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP)
  • Voices for Planning Parenthood (VOX)
  • Women Organizing Women (WOW)

Former 'progressive' student organizations:

  • Cannibis Action Network of Louisiana (CANoLA): see SSDP above
  • Progressive Student Alliance (PSA)
  • Student Environmental Action Coalition (SEAC): see ECO above
  • Student Equality Commission (SEC): roughly Fall '05 - Spring '07, in response to purple & gold confederate flags being flown at LSU games
