History of Organization

ABFPC was started in 2011 as a collaboration between local food advocates, social activists, policymakers, and elected officials in response to recognition of severe food system impairments within the region.  The original convening group recognized the need for a community-driven response to local food system issues and recognized that policy reforms could aid in creating a more sustainable and just food system.
