HOGG, William (//c1830-20/11/1875) Born Portabello, Co Midlothian, Scotland. Died Melbourne Vic, through drowning in the Yarra River. Mason from Co Midlothian, Scotland. CS. (Nephew John Hogg identified the bodies – was he the publican at Redbanks SA 1883-1886? Also eating house proprietor Talia 1870-1876? Probably not – about the same age as William Hogg and therefore more likely to be a brother) Settled; Adelaide. Left for Vic later in the same year after daughter Janet Hogg b 8/7/1855 Adelaide. She m 27/1/1876 North Carlton, George Scott.
