Family History Notes - Blee, Edward
The Blee Family
Edward Blee m Mary Julian 30/9/1848. Both probably from Cornwall and came on the Cressy, which arrived SA 19/8/1847. Probably, Edward Blee was a miner at Kooringa, Adelaide and Moonta Mines.
Possibly the two eldest sons called Thomas - b 4/1/1859 d 12/1/1862 and 30/9/1862.
Edward Blee d 31/12/1889; Mary Blee d date not registered.
Chronicle 5/1/1889 p 4 col a - Thomas, second surviving son of Edward Blee, miner, Moonta Mines, to Amelia, 2nd daughter of JW Turner, gardener, Wellington Road, Payneham, in the home of the bride, on 27/12/1888.
Horace Edgar Blee born 5/9/1892.
Enlisted 16th Battalion 30/7/1915. Died of wounds 4/7/1918, aged 26. He had risen to become a 2nd Lieutenant.

The Turner Family
John William Turner b c1830 England; d 7/3/1905 Wellington Road, Payneham. 49 years in SA - c 1856.
Wife - Sarah, nee Hull, b c1839 England; d 16/3/1892.
