There are two geometric murals in the MacArthur BART Station. The murals were painted by San Francisco artist Mark Adams in 2002. Adams, in collaboration with Alfonso Pardiñas had done two mosaics in the station but the mosaics were taken down to make way for the elevator. It was too expensive to move the elevator so Adams was commissioned to paint the two pieces instead. The mosaics are now near the entrance to the station. Read more about that here.
