Below is a list of free and lower-cost dentists compiled by the Street Level Health Project and a group of Oaklanders seeking free/lower-cost dental work. Prices may change, so please make sure to confirm prices with the dental office. The list is probably incomplete--please add any dentists you know of who offer dental work for free or at a reasonable price.

*Notice to HealthPAC and Medi-Cal recipients*

HealthPAC and Medi-Cal now cover dental services starting May 1st, 2014 (these services are called Denti-Cal for Medi-cal). The expansion is automatic, meaning that community members already enrolled in these programs do not have to take any action to access the increased coverage. However, they should make an appointment as soon as possible, as many clinics already have waitlists for dental services. Most community clinics offer dental services, but not all are accepting new patients or appointments. As of 5/9/2014, clinics that were accepting new patients and scheduling dental appointments were Highland Hospital Drop-in Emergency Clinic (drop-in only), La Clinica de la Raza (waitlist), Eastmont Wellness Center (wait unknown), Lifelong (limited appts available). Asian Health Services, Native American Health Center and Tiburcio Vasquez are scheduling dental appointments for EXISTING MEMBERS ONLY. If client is not already enrolled in HealthPAC or Medi-Cal, they can enroll at Street Level Health (2501 International Boulevard, Oakland) on Wednesdays 9-4:30pm. If you need assistance, the number for Street Level Health is 510-533-9906.
