Children: Grace Ayer Mackey of New York City; Myrtle H. Davenport of Camas, Washington; and Francis "Frank" Ashton Ayer of Morenci, Arizona. She was predeceased by her son Ernest W. Ayer, who had died in 1905.

Mrs. Frances Helen Weston Ayer bought a store building, the Ayer Block, and operated Ayer's Emporium there, a ladies' apparel store that occupied the first and second floors. She is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. George Ayer, formerly a prominent business woman of Saranac Lake, where for several years she conducted the store known as Ayer's Emporium, died at Weehawken. N. Y., last week after a long illness from breakdown. Mrs. Ayer sold out her business at Saranac in 1905 and had since been giving some attention to business interests in New Jersey. Her remains were taken to Saranac Lake for interment.
